Asayil Alsulami
PhD Student
Asayil Alsulami, a Ph.D. student specializing in materials science, centers her research on perovskite materials with a specific focus on photovoltaic applications. Her primary objective is to comprehend and address the degradation mechanisms affecting tin-lead low band-gap perovskites, particularly promising for near-infrared (NIR) applications. By delving into these degradation pathways, Asayil aims to develop and implement effective stabilization techniques, ultimately enhancing the stability and performance of these materials.
Her research aspirations are geared towards contributing to the advancement of efficient and durable perovskite-based photovoltaic technologies. Asayil earned her Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, in 2023. Prior to that, she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Physics from the University of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2021, establishing a solid foundation for her academic journey and commitment to the progress of sustainable energy technologies.
